I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R). Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
This team walks in memory of our Moms and in support of all loved ones currently battling this horrible disease. We advocate and raise dollars for treatment so future generations don't have to. It's happening! We are getting closer to treatment.
My Mom, Karen June Baeth, never gave up. She taught me to battle hard, so I will continue to do as she did. ...and build a support group for others, as I know she would've done the same.
