David's Dream Team, in support of my husband, David Kontry, was started 15 years ago by our daughter, Jennifer.

He was 'officially' diagnosed with early-onset AD at 54 years old, 20 years ago, in 2004. Once diagnosed, we realized that there were signs that we could recall as early as 1998.  More recently, I discovered that he was having difficulty balancing his checkbook in 1995. 

There was not a cure in time for David but we fundraise so that others will not have to experience the devastation of this disease and if they do, they are able to get help and guidance from the Alzheimer's Association. (We lost him on October 11, 2019. He is now at peace.)

David's Dream Team will be participating in the 2024 Walk on 

Saturday, November 2, at the Detroit Zoo!

We are getting closer to a cure. There are now several medications that are showing positive results but nothing is perfect, yet.

We need your support to continue working toward the cure for AD. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments, and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
