My name is Tresa Carter. I WALK to let the world know that Alzheimer's is an equal opportunity disease. I watched as my mother, two Aunts and my Godfather slowly slipped away mentally. Men, Women, African Americans, Asians, Caucasians, Hispanics, all cultures in the world must work together to get the information out, understand this brain killing disease, and find a cure, even if using different formulas, that will help our world's people.
On October 28th participants will be walking towards a world without the Alzhiemer's disease. My team, MindWalker and I want to help lead the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's(R). Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
TOGETHER, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please, please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
