We are walking in memory of our spouse & dad, Tom, who passed away in early 2020 after struggling for over a decade with a form of fronto temporal degeneration called primary progressive aphasia.  He was diagnosed in his early 60s, and lost his ability to speak and understand the simplest directions or statements.  Cognitive skills declined severely, also.  There is no cure or treatment for this condition, and almost nothing is known about the cause -- although his neurologist suspects that it does have an Alzheimer's pathology.
