My grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's passed away in 2007 on my 30th birthday. She was the matriarch to a very large, loving and beautiful family. Many people think that her passing on my birthday is a sad thing. I feel differently. There's only two unique days in your life...the day you're born and the day you pass from this earth. I am very honored to share a day that is unique for us both. If I an embody an inkling of her strength and love, than I am more than blessed.
I will be walking for the second time with my amazing team at Sinclair Prosser Gasior to pay tribute to remarkable woman, Shelly Brown (1915 - 2007)
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising awareness and funds to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising efforts. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you for your support!
