When my Grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, I stood with him on his porch as he pointed out in the distance talking about the cows. In that moment, I wasn't sure what he meant until my dad explained to me that when I was little, we had visited my great uncle's farm and my Grandfather held me while we looked at the mommy cows and the baby cows. Since working at the Alzheimer's Association, I've realized how lucky I am to have this memory with my Grandfather and how lucky I was that he still remembered this moment we shared. Now, I get to work at the organization leading the fight against this disease that stole his memories and our opportunity to make more. We'll continue this fight Till the Cows Come Home or until there's a cure. Join my team today or donate below!
