I am participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's and I hope and pray that research will some day find a cure for all the creepy and nasty dementias. I am intimately acquainted with the progression - memory loss, cognitive decline, and the feelings of confusion, inadequacy and frustration ALL THE TIME!
I know how much I need others to help me fight this battle, so I am a member of the walking group "Homewood's Heroes" at our wonderful retirement community. In addition, I cherish the love and care of "The Fran Club" - family members and close friends from all over creation.
