Welcome to my 21st annual Walk to End Alzheimer's family fundraising campaign! I want to sincerely thank all of my faithful supporters for their generosity over the years, as my family continues in our mission to help create a world without Alzheimer's.

Most of you knew my parents, Rodney and Sarah Forbes, as I have told my tale so many times before. My father, a brilliant man whose love of perpetual learning never diminished, lost the last several years of his life to severe dementia. It was indescribably difficult to look into his eyes and ponder his unknown struggle for comprehension of the modest world around him. My father had influenced many a man with his talks and sermons, yet towards the end he could not even express the simplest thought. It was the archetypal "long goodbye," and my devoted mother was by his side through every challenging moment.

My parents have both passed on to their greater reward in heaven, but the world they left behind will be forever enriched by the memories of their glorious spirit, their infectious smiles, and their profound love for their family and their fellow man.
