Hello,
I'm walking in memory of my Mom, "Miss Pat," who had Pick's Disease--an early-onset frontotemporal dementia that starts in mid-life.
Pick's, like all dementias, progressively limits quality of life; it degrades the brain's ability to access memories packed with personality, it interferes with the body's capacity to coordinate how the body functions and defends itself form illnesses, and it robs the person living with it and their loved-ones of the most valuable resource any of us has--time together.
The Alzheimer's Association works hard to give those living with dementia and their caregivers more quality time together. Their programs help advance: direct services and respite care; community brain health education; rigorous research; care partner programs; and legislative and policy advocacy.
Please take a step with me in the right direction towards ending memory loss, Alzheimer's disease, and related dementias. Your tax-deductible contribution is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Tony
