My grandmother passed away from complications of Alzheimer's. Although the disease took a toll on her and my family, as a mother of nine, she always remembered my father and his shenanigans growing up. My aunt/godmother also suffers from Early On-Set Alzheimer's. Now, retired, she was an educator in both the New Jersey and Maryland school systems. It is difficult watching someone you love go through such a debilitating disease. By donating and/or walking this year, you can help me honor my grandmother and aunt in this fight to end Alzheimer's.
