Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease that we will all deal with in one way or another, whether it’s a family member a friend or yourself.

 After my mother passed away I was responsible for my dad’s wellbeing. He was legally blind and I was unaware that he was in the early stages of dementia. My job was never easy, but once I realize what I was dealing with it was much easier. I took care of my dad for seven years until he passed away from Alzheimer’s Dementia. Then I lost a cousin to Alzheimer’s and now I have another cousin with Alzheimer’s. My nephew’s father-in-law has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and I have a very good friend whose husband has dementia. I am sure many of you have similar stories.

That is why I work to support Alzheimer’s Research.
