Nineteen years ago on September 10, 2005, I lost a very special lady in my life, my Mother, Sylvia Brown. My Mom was a very healthy 84 year old lady when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and then we watched her slowly succumb to the effects of this disease over the next six years.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Like most of us, I know too many people whose lives have been touched by Alzheimer's Disease, the nation's sixth-leading cause of death. That's why I am asking you to join the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's on Sunday, October 6th in Portsmouth, N.H. I am committed to raise awareness and funds to support Alzheimer's care, support and research and I need your help.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's Disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
