I walk to educate myself on a disease that may not affect me now, but could in the future because Alzheimer's/Dementia does not discriminate. I envision a world where our minds, individually and collectively, become great beyond historical precedence. I cannot fulfill this vision in a world where Alzheimer's is as prevalent, debilitating, and burdensome as it is today. I like to keep my mind sharp every day. This means I am involved with the Alzheimer's Association not just for fun walks, but for greater understanding in the contexts of self-care, research, community contributions, and education.
Alzheimer's runs in my family and I wish to stop it one day from affecting not only my parents before me, but also myself, my children, and my children's children and every generation thereafter.
By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you!
