Upwards of 130,000 in Massachusetts alone have Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia. The number is projected to increase to 150,000 by 2025. There has never been a more important time to combat these deadly diseases. The funds raised from the walk are used for support, education and advocacy (at no charge to the public) and to support research efforts.
These are exciting times for the Association. There are now several FDA-approved treatments that can change the course of Alzheimer's in a meaningful way
Although I have retired from my full time work as an Aging Life Care™ professional, I continue my work with the Alzheimer's Association and as captain of the JHC on the Move team. I walk in honor and in memory of all of my family, friends and clients who are or were affected by these terrible diseases.
My personal goals this year are $3,000 and $6,500 for the team. I invite you to join us in walking and raising funds from your own contacts. I welcome your company and your support. Contributions in any amount are very important and very much appreciated.
If you would rather not walk, please visit the website at My Fundraising Page http://act.alz.org/goto/jhconthemove-Deb. if you prefer, you can send a check to the Alzheimer's Association to me at 92 Barry Road, Worcester, MA 01609. I will forward it to the Association.
Together we can make a difference!
All the best,
Debbie Fins
