On June 5, 2019, I lost my Poppy to Alzheimer's Disease. It was one of the saddest days of my life He was an awesome man who taught me a lot. I was lucky to have him live with me and my family for 2 years but to watch him decline was terrible. Together, with my family we are leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
