Here we are once again.
On October 1st, for the thirteenth time, Steve and I will participate again in the Seacoast New Hampshire Walk to End Alzheimer's Disease. It is with our continuing hope and prayers that soon there will be effective and affordable treatments for all. Currently, there are 6.7 million Americans with Alzheimer's and 2/3 of them are women. My Mom, and Steve's Mom, were both one of them.
There is some progress with the FDA approval of a treatment for those diagnosed with MCI -Mild Cognitive Impairment, which is early- stage Alzheimer's. This is not a cure, but an intervention that may slow the progress of this awful disease. Currently it is expected to cost a patient $26,500 each year if it does not receive Medicare approval. Please join me to assist in the important work to provide Alzheimer's Care to so many in need.
With your help, the first survivor of Alzheimer's is out there.
Alzheimer's Disease is relentless, and so are Steve and I !
In advance, I thank so many of you, our dedicated and generous donors. It is uplifting to know so many wish to help in finding a treatment and cure for this awful disease.
I Walk for my Mom, Uncle Dickie, Aunt Ann, Aunt Evelyn, Aunt Evie, and for all of You!
Together WE CAN END Alzheimer's!
