I am proud to dedicate my time this year to be part of the Walk to End Alzheimer's Leadership team because I live first hand the positive impact they have on patients and families struggling with Alzheimer's. When my mom was diagnosed with dementia then Alzheimer's we were completely lost with no direction on what's next. As we continue to navigate the daily impact of her diagnosis, we are encouraged by the advances happening real time in the space.
The Alzheimer's Association dedicates money to research efforts but also is committed to funding patient and family support including a 24 hour hotline. This is critical to not only find a cure in the future but to help those 7 million Americans like my mom now.
