Hope this finds you and your family healthy and happy.
It seems that the more people I meet the more I hear of their family member or friend that has now been told they have Alzheimer's. This year I walk for my Aunt Marion who had signs of dementia before passing in 2021 from a heart attack.
Yes I can hope. And the hope I have now is that all my friends and their friends will donate a dollar or two to this cause. Remember it never has to be a lot because when a lot of people donate a little it all becomes a lot.
This year I am hoping to partnered with Tufts again because last year they match me 1/1. Isn't that great. The more you donate the more I'm hoping to be matched.
This story has not changed because these people have made an impact on my life and that is Why I WALK.
Jennifer was quiet and yet gentle when she spoke. Her best friend saw that she got the care she needed everyday until she passed.
For Carol and Dora who showed me taking care of a husband with this disease is not easy but can be done. That your life goes on even though his has become a stand still. They showed me love does surpass the disease.
My Sister took care of her Mother In Law for many years. She did it with kindness and love and lots and lots of patience. My friend Doreen just lost her mother to this as well.
I have a friend and neighbor that suffers from this disease as well she passed last year.
I watch form a distance because like you I don't know what to do for the family. And so I walk and try to get donations so that we may have a cure for our future generations. So that they won't have to have this terrible disease. So that they can look ahead to a brighter future and know that this will not affect them. So that the people in this story will always be remembered and never forgotten.
Thank You
