As most of you know, my family has 7+ members hit by Alzheimer’s  - most are aunts uncles and cousins  I carry a genetic maker called APO E4 E4 which means I’m 12 times more likely to have Alzheimer’s  Because of this, I’m a ten year research patient to help find a cure.   My latest research started this year that will go on for at least 4 years is testing my sense of smell.  There is a relationship between smell ability and Alzheimer’s. I’m in several others as well. All the news has been good so far. And in this world massive strides are being made to slow Alzheimer’s. The hope is to delay the onset until other natural causes will result in passing so Alzheimer’s never has an effect.This year,  Dr Burns, who heads up the KC center says “ it’s not if we find a cure but when”  

I hope to raise $2,000 with your help. Many  of you have been so generous.  Thanks for all you have given. This  year I have advocated for support and law changes for Alzheimer’s and caregivers at the Kansas Capitol in Topeka. Next month I will attend the national convention representing my Congressional district. . .  And as always, I’m a member of the KC Walk Committee.    

Please give if you can  Alzheimers doesn’t discriminate and can affect everyone as they age. It is a common cause of death for Down’s syndrome patients and anyone can be a victim of Alzheimer’s  Thanks for your help
