Thank you for your consideration to supportDementia late in life and before that had a great memory. Watching her forget how to complete easy, daily tasks was heartbreaking. The most difficult of those was to watch her not remember how to play the piano. She had played since she was a little girl. She was the life of the party at our family get togethers. Grandma would play the piano and we would dance and sing. It was the best times and the most precious memories. I miss her every single day. However, I do not miss watching her try to live and navigate life with this terrible disease. This is why I decided to volunteer my time and team up with the Walk to End Alzheimer's. It is my way to remember my grandma, help other individuals and families from going through what my grandmother and family went through, and to find a cure. Supporting and spreading knowledge for those who are trying to live life with this diagnosis is also very important to me. I wish I would have known about the Alzheimer's Association and the support they provide. It is truly amazing!
Thank you!
