I will once again be participating, along with my siblings, family, and friends, in The Walk to End Alzheimer's in honor of my mother, Anna Unroe, who passed away in August 2021 from complications of ALZ.

This is a devastating disease, not just for those afflicted with it, but also for the caregivers, family members, and others who must live with the daily emotional and physical toll.  Sometimes it can linger for years---the progression taking more and more of the loved one away each day.  Other times it can progress rapidly as it did (thankfully) with my Mom.  But no matter how it progresses, the outcome hasn't changed-----there is STILL no cure for Alzheimer's.
