Like so many Walk volunteers and participants, I am no stranger to Alzheimer’s disease. This mission is very personal for me and my family.
For the last 15 years, my father has lived with Alzheimer’s halfway across the globe in Turkey. I know what my father is going through as he has suffered with this disease and the toll it has taken on my mother as well. My uncle also passed away in June from Alzheimer’s.
It is an awful feeling not being able to help your loved ones, and I am absolutely determined to create a future free of this terrible disease. That's why I'm proudly serving as the Executive Event Chair of the 2022 Indianapolis Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
