We are walking in memory of my Dad, Joe Ziegler who passed away from this awful disease. He fought with dignity and laughter through it all and even as his memory and everyday functions were lost, the man we knew and loved was still there. My Dad loved his 3 girls something fierce, he knew someone everywhere he went, and could make you laugh on your worst days. To say he was special is an understatement. The day he passed away, I promised myself I would do everything I could to help find a cure so no one else had to go through what he went through. No one should have to lose their memories or their ability to function.
By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, we are raising awareness and funds to advance the fight against this disease - funds that allow the Alzheimer's Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer's and all other dementia need us - and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising efforts. Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you for your support!
