This is Robert E Dorr, (RED) a good, God-fearing guy. Bob has always loved being with people and enjoyed a good BS session ("until cell phones came along and ruined all that" he says). Most of his life he participated in all kinds of sporting activities, practiced and tried to do the best he could. He doesn't practice or play much anymore, he's working toward "getting back out there" as soon as he can. These days he still continues to believe in the good in people and even though his mind is crowded and confused, he's thinking of a future. It's very sad to see this disease progress and attack the way of life he and others like him once new, but he continues to be kind, funny and hopeful . I've learned a lot from watching him navigate the waters he is wading through. Even though he doesn't know it, he is teaching us how to believe and trust that good things are going to happen and they just might happen today! We decided to walk in his honor this year and for others like him and their families and the hope that an end to Alzheimer's disease is right around the corner. Thanks for considering joining the Walk to End Alzheimer's on Team RED.
