I'm walking in this year's Walk to End Alzheimer's on September 16, 2023. Our local walk will be held at the Perry Farm Park, 459 Kennedy Dr, Bourbonnais, IL. I walk in honor of my wife, Michele, who died in December 2020 from Alzheimer's Disease. Recent news stories have talked about the drug Leqembi being approved by the FDA for use by Alzheimer's patients. This is the first time that a drug meant to slow the progression of the disease has been granted full regulatory approval. Progress is being made, but we still have a long way to go before a cure is found.
