With the announcement of the first traditional approval of an Alzheimer’s treatment that changes the underlying course of the disease, we have to acknowledge that this achievement would not have been made without your support of the Walk to End Alzheimer's and the Alzheimer's Association. Thank you!
17 years ago, my family created a team, Fred's Forget-Me-Nots, when we lost my Grandpa Grace to Alzheimer's. And on August 9, 2022, we lost my beautiful sweet Grandma Grace. Grandma was a champion for Alzheimer’s and believed in doing her part and leading our family to do our part to end this terrible disease. We have also recently found out that another family member has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. 17 years ago, we lost my sweet Grandma Haas to Alzheimer's, and many years before that, my Grandpa’s sister Mae had her precious memories taken away from her. All of these pillars in my life taught me the importance of family, the importance of love, and the importance of taking care of those we love.
They are so close to finding a cure to this disease that takes away our loved ones much too soon. Our family has raised over $200,000 in the past 17 years for the Alzheimer's Association and we are committed to raising awareness and more funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to learn about my family and our team.
