It's been almost 17 years since we started noticing my Mom's memory loss. What I would give to have the Mom that occasionally would say "are we in Park Ridge? (when we were in Denver)", forget where I went to college or put 1 cup of salt in the Christmas cookie dough vs. sugar. That was nothing. Alzheimer's robbed my Mom's memories, her life, my Mom & Dad's retirement years, my Dad's health since he was my Mom's caregiver before he suddenly passed, and for us to have the Mom we need & our kids to have the fun & silly grandma she was. My Mom is still "living" and it's hard. The last thing she still had, was her ability to walk, but that was taken during Covid so she is bound to a wheelchair. I wish this disease on NOONE. But it is rapidly growing and we need more funding for research. Please help me help the future of this horrible disease by joining my team & walking on September 15th! Or simply donating to my page. $1 goes further than $0. Thank you in advance. If my Mom was the Rosie we knew and loved, she would be giving this disease the middle finger.
