Every registered participant will receive a Promise Flower. Be sure to choose the color that represents your personal connection to Alzheimer’s. Bring your flower with you to the Promise Garden Ceremony at 9:30am.

New this year!

Tribute Wall: Take a moment to honor your loved ones by hanging a photo or writing a message on our Tribute Wall.

Fun for All Ages:

We’ve got plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained:
Kids' Activities: Face painting, balloon art, coloring pages, and fun fall-themed games will be available. Plus, the Bubble Dome is back to bring out the kid in all of us! Yes, this one is for adults too!
Pet Zone: Bring your furry friends! Cedarhurst is hosting a Pet Zone where your pets can join in on the fun.

Photo Opportunities:

Capture memories with friends and family at our photo booth and planted Promise Garden. There will be plenty of chances for great pictures throughout the day. Be sure to post with the hashtags #endalz and #walk2endalz.

Champions Club:

The Champions Club is an exclusive space for participants who have raised $500 or more for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. As a Champion, you'll receive your medal, certificate, and a special gift. Plus, enjoy a unique photo opportunity available only to Champions. We can't wait to thank you in person, so be sure to stop by and celebrate your achievement!

Caregiver Corner:

Need some relaxation? Visit our Caregiver Corner, where several massage therapists will be offering short chair massages.

Support and Resources:

Don’t forget to stop by the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Tent. Whether you’re looking for support, information, or guidance, our team is here for you. We’ll also have many other sponsors sharing valuable resources for seniors and families in McHenry County.

Parking and Route Details:

There is ample public parking in the downtown area. Parking options and the Route Map are posted on the Walk website: act.alz.org/McHenryCounty.

Celebration Party:

Immediately following the Walk, join us for lunch and specialty drinks at The Cottage. The hopeful atmosphere will continue with great food, and the best part? The Cottage is giving back 5% of all purchases to the Walk to End Alzheimer's!

The land on which the Walk to End Alzheimer's - McHenry County will take place on includes the traditional homelands of the Peoria, Miami, Oglala Sioux, Kaskaskia, and Kickapoo Nations. By acknowledging the land, we recognize that it holds significance for its original stewards: the Native Nations and peoples of the region. We acknowledge the ground on which our Walk to End Alzheimer's will take place on so that all who work and partner with us know that we recognize our responsibilities to the peoples of that land and that we strive to address that history so that it guides our work in the present and the future. The Alzheimer's Association recognizes the importance of remembering which is why we remember and honor the original stewards of the lands we Walk to End Alzheimer's on. If you believe a Nation is missing from this list, please contact Amelia Garza, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, at amgarza@alz.org.
