It has been almost 10 years since I lost my beloved wife of 56 wonderful years to Alzheimer's. Last year, we would have celebrated our 65th anniversary. I walk, in Eileen's memory, to raise funds and awareness so that future generations will not experience the pain of helplessly watching the person they love most in this world succumb to this terrible disease. I am committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
Every 65 seconds someone in the US continues to develop Alzheimer's and 1 out of 3 Americans continue to die from Alzheimer's or another form of dementia. The need is as great as ever.
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's, and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support. Please make a donation, in Eileen's memory, to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide. I know that times are currently tough for many of my fellow Americans, but every donation helps no matter how small. Together we can make a difference.
Thank you for joining the movement! Thank you for your past support. The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
