Mom was incredible despite her early onset Alzheimer’s diagnoses at just 60 years old. She fought and beat breast cancer and also participated in the Engage and Emerge program in Southwest Florida. This was a clinical trial that contributed to critical research and led to the FDA approved Aducanumab drug that slows the progression of Alzheimer’s. Mom is our hero and we are hopeful that this drug will become more affordable for everyone soon. No one should have to experience this tragic disease.
Throughout the 11 years of mom’s diagnoses, we did what we could to fight this disease for her and for others. For years, we volunteered and advocated, and we've created a community via @talktoendalz that simultaneously provided updates about mom and shared information about this devastating disease.
Although mom is now free, there are millions of Americans who are still touched by this disease. I'm asking for your support. This disease is heartbreaking. So many families are affected and so few receive help because they can't afford it. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with all of us.
Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
