Alzheimer's isn't stopping.  Neither are we.

For those that have a personal connection.... it is easy to understand the devastation surrounding dementia.  Have you ever experienced a loved one forgetting your name?  Forgetting who you are to them?  Forgetting who they themselves are?  Forgetting how to do life's everyday tasks?  Have you ever grieved for an individual while they are still living?  At the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, we're fighting for a different future.  For families facing the disease today.  For more time.  For treatments.

For those that have not personally experienced this type of loss, I understand there are so many great causes you could choose to support.  But, the truth of the matter is that 1 in 3 older adults die with a diagnosis of dementia.... this disease carries the weight of a public health crisis.  We are in the era of treatment, making strides every day... but to get to the finish line, we need everyone to join the fight.
