The Douglas Wendell Walkers will be participating for the seventh year in the Walk to End Alzheimer's to honor and celebrate the life of Douglas Rice, who ended his journey with Alzheimer's Disease and Posterior Cortical Atrophy in July 2021. 

Following his initial diagnosis, we came together as a family and decided to begin participating in the walk to join the larger dementia community and to focus our energies in a positive way. Throughout our experiences and challenges as a family, the Alzheimer's Association was there for us. We walk to make sure the association is there for all those living with and impacted by Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias.
