We appreciate your help and take any gift very personally and every penny counts to help find treatments and a cure of this disease that affects more than 5.4 million people in the united states today - and 69,000 Iowa residents.
Not only does this disease affect millions of people who have the disease, but it also directly affects the family and friends of those afflicted with the disease. Alzheimer's is called the "long goodbye" and i can tell you first hand, that is true. I watched my mother progressively deteriorate over 13 long years. It was a horrible experience for both her and for her family and friends. No one deserves to have that sort of long, torturous death - nobody.
