The reason I Walk to End Alzheimer's is to honor the memory of my husband Lamar Richards. He fought this devasting disease for nearly 10 years. We watched as this disease took a little from him every day until it eventually took his life at the age of 70. It's a very difficult journey for families with so many changes and stages that you experience along the way. He fought this disease so hard and tried to maintain a life as normal as possible for himself and his family until he just could not anymore. Even on the hardest days he always found his sense of humor and laughter and he loved his family BIG! I know that the funds that we raise will not help him, but it could help our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. And it could help your family as well. I not only walk for him I walk for future generations. The Alzheimer's Association continues to fight for this cause and to give families resources and the care that they deserve. Please join us in this fight and any donations are greatly appreciated!
