Our team is Klein's Crusaders - Cresswind PTC and every year we join millions in October on the National Walk to End Alzheimer's Day. We walk to help reclaim the future for millions living with AD and all dementia related illnesses. The funds we help raise also go to providing invaluable information for caregivers who need guidelines, education, support and resources in communities nationwide. The Alzheimer's Assoc is excited to share that a new diagnostic blood test has been developed that correctly identifies the condition around 90% of the time! New and promising tests are now available along with medications that can slow down the disease. Last year our team grew to over 100 participants who joined together to walk our beautiful Cresswind neighborhood and with hundreds of neighbor's contributions, we raised more than $22,000, the largest amount for the Southern Crescent. This year, we plan to exceed our fund-raising efforts and participants when we walk on October 5th, 2024. Each of us has been touched by Alzheimer's Disease and we pray for treatments and a cure in the near future.  On September 17th, the Lifestyle Committee at Cresswind is sponsoring a guest speaker from the Georgia Alzheimer's Association to speak at the clubhouse.
