The goal of Purple on the Green is to raise awareness and research funds to find a cure for Alzheimer’s and Dementia, but also to help Showcase our community.  These diseases rob a person and their families of memories, hopes and dreams. It changes a person's story and in turn impacts OUR OWN COMMUNITY! By bringing our community together for a common cause, we want to showcase our amazing Cherokee County, Georgia residents. We have fabulous small businesses, and creative and talented artist's of all kinds. At some point everyone will be touched by Alzheimer's or Dementia and we need to start fighting back!  By participating in the Purple on the Green Event, we are helping to raise community awareness, showcase our County and helping to raise funds  — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.

Families facing Alzheimer’s and other dementia related diseases need us — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start helping us fight. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.  

We also encourage you to start your own team and join us to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's Disease on Saturday, October 19th at the Etowah Mill Park.
