Being a caregiver has been heartbreaking, and I've often felt like I was watching the sequel to a movie without seeing the original. I never truly knew my Grandpa and Grandma; I only know what Alzheimer's made of them. One touching memory stands out: I asked my Nana if thinking about Grandpa made her sad, and she replied, "Thinking about Grandpa doesn't make me sad; he was a great man. His disease makes me sad because he didn't get to do what he loved."
Alzheimer's isn't waiting, and neither are we. This year, we're participating in the Alzheimer's Association "Walk to End Alzheimer's," the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support, and research. Will you support our efforts by making a donation on our fundraising page? http://act.alz.org/goto/COUNTERCLOCKWISE
Every dollar you contribute helps the Alzheimer's Association provide vital care and support to those facing Alzheimer's and other dementias. Together, we can advance critical research and work toward ending Alzheimer's. Last year, thanks to supporters like you, we raised $12,131, making us the #1 fundraisers in Broward County.
Please consider donating to our team and joining us in the fight against Alzheimer's. Together, we can make a difference.
