Welcome to the Team EDJ Cape Crusaders page for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®!

My reason for participating in this walk is to raise awareness for the devastation of this disease. My family, like many others, has a heartbreaking connection to loving someone that lived and died with Alzheimer's. Our family had to navigate and care for my grandparents.  Watching their entire identity fade before our eyes was a difficult journey. It was stressful for my family to care for and make difficult decisions for my grandparents. It took a toll both mentally and physically on everyone involved in their care. My hope is that one day there will be a cure so that no family has to suffer through losing a loved one before they die. 

 The Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the largest event to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®. It’s held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, and our team is excited to participate this year. 

Currently, more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's and over 11 million family and friends provide their unpaid care. We need your help to end this devastating disease.
