As all of you may know, my sweet, precious daddy fought with Alzheimer’s for several years before his passing.
I would never wish this disease on my worst enemy, much less my own daddy.
As a daddy’s girl, and knowing the man my father was, this was crushing.
Before his diagnosis at 70 years old, Daddy was continuing to work on his PhD, just because.
He served in the pastorate for 20 years before continuing to serve in prison chaplaincy, hospital chaplaincy, hospice chaplaincy, and counseling at a methadone clinic before fully retiring.
Watching him lose himself one day at a time was excruciating.
We must find a cure so others don’t have to experience this devastation.
Please help if you can.
