This team, Hiers' Heros, is in Honor & Memory of Robert & Carol Hiers, the parents of Robin Hiers-Witt. Dad suffered from Dementia (due to strokes) from 2000 to his passing in February 2006. Mom was his fulltime caregiver in their home for the duration of his illness. She passed away unexpectedly in June 2012.
We walk because we want to see an END to this brutal disease...we want to see a CURE be found to end the suffering of those affected by Alzheimer’s, both patients and caregivers.
