My mother was diagnosed with early onset Dementia at only 58 yrs of age. She passed away from Alzheimer's shortly after she turned 75. It was a long and often painful process watching her decline every day and at least the last 2 years of her life as she lost all physical function to eat, talk, and walk. Mom truly was one of the most wonderful women with a heart of gold! She raised 4 children and one of them was born profoundly deaf. She never lost her patience and was determined to help me overcome my disability by making me feel normal! She was such a loving woman and she helped so many people! She was a hard worker and always helped others right up until after her diagnosis. I am honored to do the Walk to End Alzheimer's in her memory as well as my father in law and all those affected by Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. Please join me and TEAM ASL (American Sign Language) to help raise awareness and funds in the fight to End Alzheimer's.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation and/or join me and my ASL Team. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you!
