This will be our second year participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's Disease. When Madison (Coach Whitfield) was diagnosed just after his 60th birthday, our lives took a turn down a path that so many others are traveling as well. Unfortunately, most everyone has family, or a friend that has been affected by Alzheimer's Disease. This is, of course, a disease that envelops the entire family. We are so fortunate to have both of our sons in Pensacola, along with their wives to offer the love and support so often needed. We also have friends that love and understand Madison, and for their friendship I will be forever grateful. Although the obstacles and challenges prove to be difficult and hard to understand, on each path there is beauty to be found, and blessings to be counted. I wake up every day remembering that "I have power over my patience, peace, and positivity". This awareness/fund raiser, and many more like them, are helping make strides in research, as well as giving support and offering resources to those families in need. If you are able to join us Sunday, October 1, 2023 we will walk with Madison, and many others along the sidewalks of Downtown Pensacola in an effort to put an end to this disease and put a neon CLOSED sign on that path!
