I am Dr. Monica Hardy a native of Jacksonville, Florida, and the proud mother of two adult sons. After the passing of my mother, I shifted to full-time “businesstry”. I am the Founding President of Monica Hardy Ministries International, Inc., which is a faith-based organization and the CEO of E’fek-tiv Enterprises, LLC. I am an Executive Consultant, Professional Developmental Specialist and Author. I have published 6 books and co-authored 3 books. With the recent loss of my father and the sudden, unexpected loss of my brother, it's just me. My immediate family (dad, mom and brother) have all transitioned to glory. My heart aches more than I share, but my faith in God keeps me moving forward. I have a heart of compassion for caregivers and those suffering due to loss and trauma. My beloved father passed away at 77 years old after a 5-year battle with Alzheimer's disease. While caring for my father, I began journaling and ultimately created the book - CAREGIVERS: The Forgotten Patient. This was a much needed release for things I felt and did not know how to express. This labor of love has ignited a love in my heart to show honor, compassion, and support to caregivers across the globe. I pray my participation in this walk will allow me to join others as an advocate for a cure to this unkind disease. I also wish to amplify my voice and raise awareness for not only our loved ones suffering, but to the caregivers who are often the forgotten patient.
