My name is Lisa Black. I am an ARNP for Optum Road Warriors House Calls program. I am also team captain this year for Optum Road Warriors Walk to End Alzheimer’s on September 21st, Cocoa Village, Space Coast Florida.
This event is very special to me as I lost my mother Rosemary to Alzheimer’s Disease in 2012 at age 81, after she was diagnosed seven years earlier. My mother raised me and my seven siblings after our father was tragically killed in a military helicopter crash in 1973. She was always a loving, vibrant, spiritual, and kind woman who loved her faith, family, and friends dearly. This is the 12th anniversary of her passing. She has always been a true inspiration to me, and constantly inspires me in my daily life. I would like to honor her, and all those loved ones lost to Alzheimer’s. Let’s make this year count Optum Road Warriors!!! Thank you for your support!
