Why do I walk? I've lost 6 women in my family to this horrible illness. My Mom died on March 24, 2020, after 14 years of battling this disease. It was a long journey for her and our family, full of ups and downs and many lessons learned. This will be my 9th year walking - Mom was still alive and able to walk with us on our first walk in 2014. I will continue to walk and advocate for as long as I am able to. We all can help find a cure so that neither you nor any person you love will ever have to lose their memories, forget they ever were married or had a child, forget their own name or that of his/her family members, and/or forget how to eat and walk. Please donate if you can. Every little bit helps! No donation is ever too small and it will help advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. If you can't donate, please hold those battling this disease or caring for them in your thoughts. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's! Wishing you, continued health, peace, love and respect for each other always.
