Team Louise is walking again this year! My mom, Louise Hall is bravely battling Alzheimer's disease. She has been in this battle since ~2012. She is doing her best everyday with trying to enjoy her grandkids and the two dogs she has to deal with in our home! She now goes to the adult day center 3 days a week. They have activities, food and people her age, so she is really enjoying it. She never remembers anything she does anymore. She has good and bad days. She recognizes us most the time. The biggest challenge is she forgets she needs her walker so falling is always a concern. She needs help with everything at this point. She is doing her best everyday and none of us know how tough things are for her. This disease is absolutely horrible and better treatments and hopefully a cure needs to happen in our lifetime. Imagine, watching your beloved parent slowly fade away and there is nothing you can do to stop it.
