While attending a fundraiser for Alzheimer's, I met Laura Hoffman of the Connecticut Chapter and was inspired to become a team captain for the Western Walk to End Alzheimer's. My team name is "Team Richard" to honor my father who was diagnosed with Dementia in 2019. It was an ongoing process as my family learned about the effects of the disease and how to respond. On June 26, 2022, my father passed away peacefully in Venice, Florida. While I was holding his hand the day before, he could not speak, but he sat up and blew me a kiss. Treasure every moment you have with the ones you love.

Please join me and my team for the Western Walk to End Alzheimer's on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at New Fairfield High School.

As we get closer to the date, I will update details of walk and where we will meet.
