I am raising money for the Walk to End Alzheimer's® on September 29 and am asking for your support. As you well know, Alzheimer's is a terrible heart breaking disease. Seeing what it has done to my sweet Johnny has broken my heart. While there have been strides in developing medications to delay the progression of the disease, there's limited progress in searching for an actual cure or even understanding what causes it.
The disease has a huge impact. Currently, nearly 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's. That number is expected to grow to over 12 million by 2050. Between 2000 and 2021, deaths from Alzheimer’s have more than doubled. The disease kills more than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined.
All of us know someone impacted by Alzheimer’s, and know something has to be done to conquer this miserable disease.
