As many of you know my dad has been battling Alzheimer's for a few years now. My dad is still in there, his easy smile and those beautiful blue eyes will always be there. It is so hard to see this man that was larger than life, loved to travel, meet new people and enjoy life start to not remember all the wonderful things he has done. I miss his words of wisdom and advice (although "no-filter" dad is pretty funny!) Even "no-filter" dad has some pretty good insight on what is important. He still says "I've had a good life, a wonderful wife and 4 good kids". Family has always and will continue to be his number 1 priority.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising awareness and funds to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
