As many of you know "Why I Walk", the flowers in our promise garden transitioned from the Yellow flower to the Purple flower when Brenda ended her journey and battle with Alzheimer's Disease. It is hard to believe it's been over a year since her transition and she is sorely missed.
Brenda was a beautiful person, both inside and out. She will be remembered for her selflessness and being one of the most friendly personalities one could ever encounter. She faithfully serviced as Secretary of the Terry Family Reunion Committee for 25 years where she worked with other family members to preserve the legacy our family. In her spare time, Brenda enjoyed bargain shopping, walking and travelling. Whenever possible, she enjoyed watching funny, dramatic, and rom-com movies while enjoying a bucket of buttered popcorn with family and friends. She was also an avid reader and lover of word find puzzles.
Even though her fight is over, ours still continues. I and other still need your support to help in this battle. My fight is for those that serve as Caregivers and providers of resources made available to the families care for loved ones living with Alzheimer's or Dementia. I asking for your continued support of Team Brenda Lewis, in honor of my mom Brenda and cousin, Stephen (aka Dotun) for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
I'd love for you to join our walk team and help us reach our team goal of $15,000.00. You can join our team for virtually or in person when we walk in Escondido's Kit Carson Park on September 23rd, 2023. Together, I know we can achieve this goal.
On behalf of Brenda and Stephen, I Thank You and look forward to walking with you.
